Father's day weekend and new slide

Our father's day weekend was busy but very nice.   Aaron's parents came over Saturday morning and we had a nice brunch with them.  Aaron made a frittata and pancakes for the boys.   Our neighbor was getting rid of his playground and gave us the slide.   Aaron and his dad went to the store to buy wood and to build the new slide.  It was hard work and it was a hot day.   The guys worked all afternoon.   The boys loved it of course.  Noah still needs some help to go up there but they had a blast.

For dinner we headed to Tucano's, my favorite brazilian barbecue restaurant in town.   I had a caipirinha and the food was awesome as always.  Aaron and his dad really enjoyed their father's day dinner.  We did the father's day special and got desert and the dads got a barbecue sauce fromTucano's!

On Sunday, we gave papai his presents. We gave him some fishing stuff, a cardinal tshirt and a bird bath.  It was a perfect day for us.  We just stayed home, the kids were good and Aaron cooked an amazing Arab dinner.   What a perfect father's day weekend.

Swim lessons and Laumier Park

This past weekend, the boys started swim lessons at the St. Peters Rec Plex on Saturday morning.  We thought this time the Rec Plex was much more organized than the times before.  They had the swimming director taking charge, doing the introduction and the kids felt much more comfortable.  Noah went to the toddler class with Aaron and he loved the class so much that he cried at the end (He usually cries at the end of every class when they sing the good bye song).   Sam joined the big boy class all by himself.  He was very proud to be in the class by himself.  I just kept an eye on him and even wearing a cast, he loved it.

In the afternoon, we decided to go to the Laumier Park.  It is a very nice sculpture park here in St. Louis with dozens of outdoor sculptures.  The weather was awesome, so we took some good pictures of the boys.  Sam is very artistic and he really enjoyed looking at the art and trying to figure it out what it means.  Noah had a blast just running and exploring.  On Sunday, we just chilled at home and Aaron made some awesome thyme and lime Caribbean BBQ chicken.
